    Athena was a strong, fair, and merciful goddess. Athena, did not get involved with romance and marriage, for she was not worried about those topics, for she was a virgin.

  • The girl's name Athena: It is of Greek origin, and the meaning of Athena is "wise". Mythology: the virgin goddess of wisdom and war, identified with the Roman goddess Minerva. Homer, in the "Odyssey", refers to her as "gray-eyed Athena".

    Her birth, as we said earlier was incredible.This picture above shows her emerging from her father (Zeus) head. Athena then came a motherless child, for Zeus then ate (swallowed) Metis.

    The Trojan horse, which was a very wonderful idea to excel and win in the Trojan war, was Athena's idea!

    Athena was credited for the inventions of the flute, trumpet sailing ship, the rake,  the chariot, and many other wonderful inventions.

    She is still honored and appreciated over the world and Athens was named in her honor.

    Athena, as I stated earlier was his favorite child, and he entrusted her with is shield called the Aegis which her father, Zeus, gave to her.
